THE RUSSIAN MUSEUM AS A Treasury of National Fine Arts

The Russian Museum is the first National State Museum of Russian Fine Arts –at present it is a unique depository of cultural values, it numbers over 400 000 exhibits, it covers all historical periods and tendencies of Russian Art development, its main forms and genres, trends and schools for over than 1 000 years: from X to XXI centuries.

The Museum collection includes works of artists – constituting fame and pride of Russian Fine Arts – Andrey Rublev, Dionisius, F.Shubin, D.Levitsky, V.Borovikovsky, I.Martos, K.Briullov, F.Bruni, O.Kiprensky, Alexander Ivanov,P.Fedotov, A.Venetsianov, V. Vereschagin, I,Aivazovsky, I.Repin, A.Kuindzhy,I.Shishkin, V.Serov, M.Vrubel. P.Antokolsky, B.Kustodiev, M.Nesterov, K.Malevich, V.Kandinsky, M.Chagall, P.Filonov, K. Petrov-Vodkin and others.

Nowadays, The Russian Museum complex includes Mikhailovsky, Marble and Stroganoff Palaces, Mikhailovsky (Engineer) Castle, as well as The Summer Garden, The Mikhailovsky and Engineer gardens – distinguished memorials of landscape art of XVIII – XIX centuries.

In 1992, according to The President of The Russian Federation Decree (№ 558 of 05.06.92), The State Russian Museum is referred to especially valuable objects of the Russian Nation cultural legacy.

On March 19, 1997, on the threshold of The Museum Centenary, International Society “Friends of the Russian Museum” was established.

International Society “Friends of the Russian Museum” unites everybody, who is ready to render a feasible support in realization of scientific, educational, conservation, exhibiting and other Russian Museum programs and projects.

Your entrance fee will become a contribution to the generous deed of preservation, research and increase of invaluable treasures of Russia, preserved in the Russian Museum collections.

Every person can become the Individual member of the Society.

Membership subscription “Classical” on condition of membership fees of 100 Euro (in rubles):

• “White” personal card of the individual member of the Society granting
• free entrance to the Museum is given.
• The member’s name is published in the Museum website.
• Invitations for exhibition openings in the Russian Museum palaces (for two persons) are distributed.
• 10 % discount for purchase of exhibition catalogs by personal cards owners is given.

Membership Subscription “Silver” on condition of membership fees of 500 Euro (in rubles):

“Silver” personal card of the individual member of the Society granting

free entrance to the Museum with one guest is ceremonially presented at the meeting of members of the society.

• Memorial badge of the member of the Society is presented.
• Invitations for exhibition openings in the Russian Museum palaces (for two persons) are distributed.

Membership subscription “Golden” on condition of membership fees from 1 000 Euro to 2 000 Euro (in rubles):

• Certificate of the personal member of the Society is given.
• “Golden” personal card of the individual member of the Society granting free entrance to the Museum with two guests is ceremonially presented at the meeting of members of the Society.
• The member’s name is published in the annual Report of the State Russian Museum and on the Museum website.
• Memorial badge of the member of the Society is presented.
• Invitations for exhibition openings in the Russian Museum palaces (for two persons) are distributed.
• Invitations for special arrangements organized for members of the Society only, are distributed.

Any Russian or foreign institution can become the Corporative member of the Society.

Membership subscription “Donation” on condition of membership fees of 2 000 Euro (in rubles):

• Certificate of the Corporative member of the Society is given.
• “Golden” personal card of the member of the Society for the Head of the Institution granting free entrance to the Museum with two guests is ceremonially presented at the meeting of the Society.
• Two “Silver” personal cards for the Institution employees granting free entrance to the Museum with one guest are presented.
• The Institution title and its logo are published in the annual Report of the State Russian Museum and in the Museum website.
• Memorial badge of the member of the Society is presented.
• Invitations for the owners of personal cards for exhibition openings (for two persons) are distributed.
• Invitations for the owners of personal cards for special arrangements, organized for members of the Society only, are distributed.
• Right for rent usage for free of one of the Museum premises for receptions of staff or guests (50-100 people) * once a year is granted.
• “Donator” is granted free entrance to the Museum for ten persons (by the letter) without excursion, and for excursion with discount** as well.
• Opportunity to become the Russian Museum business-partner in numerous projects is granted.

• The company logo is placed in data storages released by the Museum (exposition plans, programs, tickets), for the Museum International exhibitions, inside and outside the Museum building including (placing conditions are under additional agreement).

FAMILY MEMBERSHIP

Any Russian or foreign family can become the Family Member of the Society.

On condition of membership fees of 150 Euro (in rubles) for Russian families.

On condition of membership fees of 500 Euro (in rubles) for foreign families.

• Certificate of the Family member of the Society is given.
• Two “White” personal cards for two adults for free entrance to the Museum are given.
• “White” personal cards for children of pre-school age (according to the number of children in the family) are given, availability of children is confirmed by corresponding documents.
• Names of the family members are published in the column “Family Membership” in the Museum website.
• Invitations for members of the family for exhibition openings (for two persons) are distributed.
• Invitations for arrangements organized by the Russian Museum for children (New Year festivities, competitions of drawings, children meetings, and so on) are distributed.
• 10 % discount for purchase of exhibition catalogs is given.

DONATORS

• Anyone can become the member of the Society who donated to the Museum an especially valuable object.*** This category of members falls into donators.

• “Golden” personal card for free entrance to the Museum with two guests is given.
• Name of the donator is published in the annual Report of the State Russian Museum, in the official Museum website, and in all The Russian Museum advertisement materials.
• Memorial badge of the member of the Society is presented.
• Invitations for exhibition openings (for two persons) are distributed.
• Invitations for special arrangements organized for the Society members only, are distributed.
• 30 % discount for purchase of exhibition catalogs is given
• Membership is valid for several years, in separate occasions (depending on donation value), the Society membership is given for the rest of life.

* Dates and places of receptions realization are coordinated with the Museum for the time no less than one month before.

** Applications for realization of excursions are given for the time no less than 10 days.
