The second exhibition of paintings by famous St Petersburg artist German Egoshin in the Russian Museum is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the master´s birth.
The exhibition comprises works from the collection of the Russian Museum and the artist´s studio, presenting different periods of his oeuvre.
German Egoshin is an artist of Leningrad school of painting and a "man of the sixties". His creative path is connected with the activity of the Group "11". The group organised its first exhibition in 1972.
In his oeuvre the artist turns to Russian and world plastic traditions. We can feel creative experience of such impressionists as Paul Cézanne, Pyotr Konchalovsky, Ilya Mashkov and Robert Falk both in his lyrical landscape and portrait.
The Tretyakov Gallery, the Russian Museum, other Russian and foreign museums and private collectors own the master´s works of art.
