The State Russian Museum presents the solo exhibition of the oeuvre of Alexandra Vertinskaya. Thirty-one works of art have been created in different techniques such as painting, photocopying on canvas with acrylic dyes and acrylic silkscreen. The exhibition comprises the works from the Venice and Flowers series. There are no cognate orienting points in the perception of Venice. The author, rather, renders the air, sense of the ancient city and spirit of history. Depicting flowers Vertinskaya aspires to emphasize the elegance and strictness of natural forms. The artist escapes the simplicity of multicolored decorativeness and introduces almost tangible atmosphere of nature.
