Marble Palace

Boris Vlasov (1936-1981) was an outstanding master of book and easel graphic art from St Petersburg. Born into a family of well-known local graphic artists, his creative heritage includes illustrations for some 150 books by classical and modern writers; several thematic lithographic series; cycles of landscapes, interiors and still-lifes executed in watercolours, gouache, pencil and charcoal; a series of portrait drawings; numerous sketches; and wooden and wire sculptures. The exhibition at the Marble Palace showcases over fifty works created by the artist in the 1960s and 1970s.
