"Art as profession" exhibition in the Russian Museum includes 48 paintings and sculptural works from the collection of Maia and Anatoly Bekkerman. Among the artists presented are leading masters of Russian art of the second half of the XIX - early XX century: B. Anisfeld, M. Antokolsky, D. Burlyuk, N. Goncharova, B. Grigorev, K. Korovin, S. Sudeykin, R. Falk, N. Feshin, A. Ekster. Works of art from Bekkermans' collection were previously presented in many important art projects in Russia, including the exhibition "Time to collect", held at the Russian Museum and the State Museum-Reserve "Tsaritsyno". In 2013 works from the collection were displayed at the exhiibitions of Filipp Malyavin in the Russian Museum and Natalia Goncharova in the Tretyakov Gallery which aroused great interest of the audience. The current exhibition offers a new oppurtunity to get acquainted with the unique works from one of the most significant modern collections and enrich our knowledge of Russian art at the turn of the XIX-XX centuries.
