The Russia for
All exhibition project by the inhabitants of Moscow Victor Bondarenko (the
author of idea of the exhibition) and the artist Dmitry Gutov is connected with
the practice of contemporary art and realized in the form of the trip across Russia
with stops in different cities. Now this movable exhibition that earlier was
presented in Tver and Nigniy Novgorod, has a stop-off in St. Petersburg that is traditionally a multiconfessional
and multinational town.
The Russia for
All exhibition project appeals to the wide audience of the viewers and
polemically directed against any manifestations of nationalism. The exposition
includes 80 canvases where instead of images there the names of many of
well-known men who glorified the Russia: the rulers, religious
figures, military leaders, scientists, the representatives of different forms
of culture and art are written and their national roots are indicated.
