On the exhibition that is organized by the Russian Museum in collaboration with the Center of Photography behalf of the Lumier brothers (Moscow) there are presented more than 200 photographs of the Soviet actors, directors, writers, scientists, athletes, announcers, who are known throughout the country and being the true idols of millions. Here is mostly focused the reportage portrait, which saves the immediate emotionality of that time. The most part of the photos were discovered in the process of preparing the exhibition in the archives of the most famous photographers of that epoch and they are presented for the first time. There are also exhibited the unique works – the photograph of Dmitry Shostakovich that has never been published before, the photos by I. Gnevashev made during the shooting of films by Leonid Gaiday, Andrei Tarkovsky, Andrei Konchalovsky and Nikita Mikhalkov, and also the photographs by V. Musahelyan, the private photographer of Leonid Brejnev.
