Alexandra Schekatikhina-Potoskaya is one of the most impressive figures in the
history of the Russian porcelain of the first half of the XX century. At the personal
exhibition is shown a part of her oeuvre, especially more than 200 porcelain articles,
that were made on the Lomonosov Porcelain Factory, in Paris and Cairo, where the
painter has lived from 1923 to 1936. The exposition contains also paintings, easel
graphic works, studies for theatre sets and suits, book illustrations. The works
of the Paris and Cairo periods are shown for the first time. About 100 paintings
and graphic works were given by private collectors from Saint-Petersburg and by
Ivangorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum Complex.
