The artworks from the Russian museum storages are presented at the first monographic exhibition dedicated to the old rite art. The exhibition contains artworks that were created and kept by representatives of different old rite talks and consents. Icons, made of wood, carved and copper casting crosses, folding icons, manuscripts, folk artworks, wall painted sheets are shown. The exposition is arranged in accordance with a geographic location and contains the sections: “North”, “Petersburg”, “Moscow and Moscow Region”, “Verkhnee Povolzhie and Zavolzhie”, “Urals”, “Vetka and Starodub”.
Most part of artworks is presented for the first time.
The exhibition is accompanied by the catalogue in Russian.
