Exhibition of artworks by Nikolai Suetin presents various sides of the artist’s creative oeuvre: drawings, watercolours and porcelain. The artworks that are housed in the Russian Museum such as suprematic compositions of the 1920s (both Vitebsk and Leningrad periods); painting “Woman with a Saw” (late 1920s), blockade sketch for the “Victory” painting, porcelain of the 1920s and the 1930s are presented. The exhibition also contains the artworks from the private collection: miniature school analytical compositions that were created under Malevich’s guidance, competitive sketches for furniture for the dwelling of worker (1927), cycles of graphic artworks (late 1920s – early 1930s): Peasant Woman, so-called Semi-icons (or Icons of the Virgin), large black-and-white sheets with repeated motifs of peasants, sheaves, dirigible, as well as the war years drawings.

Nikolai Suetin was the powerful and talented artist. He was a painter, designer, expo-designer, author of architectons, drawings and forms for porcelain, articles of decorative and applied art.
