NIKOLAI IONIN

21 February - 26 March 2007
Stroganov Palace

The Russian Museum presents the one-man exhibition of Nikolai Ionin, a Leningrad artist of the second half of 20th century. Having adopted the traditions of the Leningrad Art School of the 1920s, Nikolai Ionin, a pupil of Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin, also experienced the influence of the members of such well-known art unions as Society of Artists, Community of Artists and Circle of Artists. The exposition contains Nikolai Ionin's paintings and graphic works from the collection of the Russian Museum and from the collection of the artist's family, who owns the major part of his pictorial heritage.
