Celebrating the 130th anniversary of Nicholas Roerich's birth, this jubilee exhibition showcases 66 works of painting from the collection of the Russian Museum. The pictures trace the various stages of the artist's career - his Russian period, expedition to India and the time he lived in the subcontinent. The show includes both large canvases and small paintings. This is the first time that the artist's earliest oil painting Ukranian Landscape, created when he was a student of Arkhip Kuindzhi, has ever been shown to the public. Other rarely seen works include a pastel entitled Birches.
