An Austrian artist, Hermann Pedit (born in 1933) with an unusual creative development. He started painting under the direction of A.Kirchmeier, and after finishing Viennese Academy of Fine Art H.Pedit specialized as a sculptor by a most known Austrian master V.Wotruba; later he was given a purse of Wotruba. When the artist was 26, his works were exhibited in Kunstlerhaus in Vienna. In 1960, despite the promising start of his creative work, H.Pedit secludes himself in his native city in order to keep on the family business, i.e. metal casting. And only 30 years later, owning to interest of curators and art historians, H.Pedit returned to art scene and continued exhibition activity. Works of H.Pedit will be introduced in the Russian museum for the first time in Russia. Both H.Pedit and the ambassador of Austria, Dr.V.Zede, will be present at the opening ceremony of the exhibition.
