MAXIM KANTOR. PAINTING exhibition
Maxim Kantor who is the artist, writer and thinker is
regarded as one of the most recognizable figures
of international cultural scene. The aim of this small exposition that is
presented in St.Michael's Castle in the framework of the Second St. Petersburg International
Cultural Forum a year
after the great solo exhibition of this artist in the Russian Museum is to
present "another Kantor". The great part of the works on show that were created
during the last year has no social and political content, typical for his painting
and graphics.
On this exhibition Kantor appears as the author of
marinas - the expressional landscapes that are marked by the emotional power of
forms or by the fineness of color and tone decision. Working in the sphere of
traditional values of painting (color, texture, space decision), Kantor creates
the inspired image of nature that is fulfilled by the powerful creative energy.
