The CD is dedicated to the fine art and artistic life in the Soviet Union between the so-called "Thaw" and the beginning of Perestroika. It unites two opposing layers in the artistic culture of the 1960s-85s that is reflected in the titles of the CD parts: Official Art and Unofficial Art.

The programme provides the possibility to view full-screen images and their fragments and includes annotations on the works presented on the CD. On the whole, the CD contains nearly 600 images, including documentary photographs.

Pavel Mansouroff

The CD is dedicated to the oeuvre of Pavel Mansouroff (1896-1983) v the Russian artist, who had lived in France more than fifty years.

The CD presents:

  • Film on the life and oeuvre of Pavel Mansouroff;
  • Interactive programme that includes biographic materials and information on the historic context of the artist-s oeuvre;
  • Catalogue of works of the Russian and French periods.

The CD contains nearly 100 high-quality images, including the unique documentary photos. The programme provides the possibility of auto-view.

Russian Monasteries. Art and Traditions

The CD is dedicated to the Russian monasteries and the art connected with them. The programme acquaints with the most ancient monasteries v keepers of the Orthodox culture (the Kievan Monastery of the Caves, the Laura of the Holy Trinity and St Sergius and others) and the personalities who contributed to the establishment of the Russian monasticism.

The CD consists of two parts: the first one acquaints with the origins of the monastic tradition and religious heritage of St Sergius of Radonezh and his school; the second part contains the images of the works of the Old Russian art from the Russian Museum funds with detailed annotations.

Alexei Savrasov

The CD is dedicated to the oeuvre of the famous Russian artist, founder of the Russian lyrical landscape v Alexei Savrasov. The programme includes an article on fine arts, a catalogue and a short chronicle of life and creative work of the artist. The catalogue presents the most famous works of the painter from the collections of the Russian Museum and the Tretyakov Gallery. The catalogue has chronological and alphabetical indexes of the works.

The programme enables to view and autoview full-screen high-resolution images and detailed annotation on each work.
