Art Practicum. The Ludwig Museum in the Russian Museum v the first Russian multi-media educational programme on modern art for school children. The aim of the programme is not only to acquaint with the unique permanent exhibition of the 20th century art, but also to give school children the instrumentof navigation in the complicated artistic process. The programme acquaints with twelve works from the Ludwig collection and enables to view the 20th century art through the prism of one-s personal oeuvre and play. Apart from artistic tasks the programme contains interesting stories about artists and their works; parallels between fine arts and literature, cinematograph, music of the 20th century; entertaining animation; collection of museum masterpieces framed with new technologies; extensive reference material.

The CD accompanies the exhibition of the same name. It is dedicated to the sixtieth anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Painting, drawings and engravings, posters and sculptures, created at the front, reveal the true reality of the War. The CD presents the works by Tatyana Mavrina, Y. Khiger, Pavel Shillingovsky, Valentin Serov, T. Glebova and V. Boriskovich. The disc contains the article on the art of the Great Patriotic War period.

Valentin Serov. Painting and Graphic Art from the collection of the State Russian Museum CD is dedicated to the jubilee exhibition of the artist. The programme includes two articles on Valentin Serov-s oeuvre and collection of his works in the State Russian Museum. The disc contains works of painting and graphic art, supplemented with the chronicle of the artist-s life and work and archival photographs. The programme enables to view full-screen high-resolution images. It provides search in chronological and alphabetic indexes.

The CD accompanies the Thanks, Ural! exhibition, dedicated to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The disc contains the works evacuated to the Urals during the Siege of Leningrad. The CD accompanies the exhibition of the same name in the State Russian Museum. It includes the information material on the religious life of pre-revolutionary Petersburg and the history of Petersburg churches. The body of the disc is devoted to the churches of Petersburg. It is divided according to the periods of reign= from Peter the Great to Nicholas II. The illustrations are accompanied by biographies of the architects and artists. One of the sections demonstrates the unique photographs of the lost relics of Petersburg. The programme enables to autoview and view full-screen images.

Palaces of the Russian Museum: Virtual Promenades with Alexander III

The multimedia programme with sound track acquaints with the architectural complex of the Russian Museum, which unites six palaces. The story is being told in the name of Emperor Alexander III (1845-1894), whose name the Russian Museum has born from its very foundation. The tale of the history of each palace is based on true facts and documents, and the Emperor's statements on the problems of Russian history were taken from his letters and the memoirs of his contemporaries. Total running time of the film is 70 minutes.

The CD was released for the project of the same name, first launched within the walls of the Russian Museum. The CD contains nearly 600 works in different media. The programme provides the possibility to view full-screen images, to get annotations for every work and to see the fragments of the works.

Apart from the catalogue which consists of 6 sections (Texture, Collage. Application, Decoupage, Duplicating Collage, Photomontage. Computer Collage, Selection of Materials, Assemblage, Object) the CD contains the What is the Collage? popular article and the artists- biographies.

The Ludwig Museum in the Russian Museum established by Peter and Irene Ludwig was opened to public in the Marble Palace in St Petersburg on 10 March 1995. Peter and Irene Ludwig donated 118 outstanding works of contemporary international art to the Russian Museum.

The Russian Museum: Virtual Tour

The CD presents a virtual tour of the Mikhailovsky Palace: 38 rooms, upper and lower vestibules, gala staircase, facade of the palace from the Square of Arts.

The History section contains information on the history of the Mikhailovsky Palace and its owners and on the creation and history of the Russian Museum.

The Tour of the Rooms section includes interactive map-schemes of floors, panoramas of rooms and information on the exhibits shown in the Museum.

The Film section enables to autoview the panorama of rooms in the chosen sequence.

The Collection section is an electronic album consisting of 646 works of art, presented at the Museum exposition. The section provides the possibility to search through the alphabetical index.
