This CD accompanies the exhibition of the same name at the Russian Museum, marking two thousand anniversary of Christianity. The four hundred images include icons, paintings, graphic art and folk art. The user can look at full-screen pictures and download information on the image and biographical in-formation on the artist. Works are grouped according to biblical subjects and forms of art. The disc also features an alphabetical index of artists.

The disc accompanies the exhibition of the same name, marking the two hundredth anniversary of the murder of Tsar Paul I in St Michael's Castle.

The programme consists of 4 sections:

  • St Michael-s Castle and Chronicle of the Tragedy
  • Exhibition Catalogue

The vast historical and artistic materials paint a vivid picture of Paul's short and tragic reign. The CD also contains an electronic catalogue of more than two hundred works of art and accompanying texts.

This CD ROM is dedicated to the twentieth-century portraiture in Russia, vividly presenting the image of the epoch. It contains four hundred portraits from the collect-ion of the Russian Museum, explanatory texts, information on the sitters and biographies of artists. There is also an index of artworks and forms of art (painting or sculpture) and an alphabetical index of artists. The high resolution of the images helps the user to discern works down to the smallest brushstroke.
