The publication is dedicated to the French sculptor Jacques-Dominique Rachette (1744-1809). Rachette worked in Russia for some thirty years, creating many fine works of monumental sculpture and decorative applied art. The book accompanied the exhibition of the same name and contains articles, a catalogue and colour illustrations.
